Know the Key Ingredients:

1) Kapoor (Cinnamomum camphora)
It acts as a counter-irritant as it first produces a feeling of warmth by increasing the blood flow. Later on, it gives a soothing and cooling effect due to its cold nature. Together, this helps reduce pain when Camphor is used on the affected area. It also helps reduce local area inflammation due to its healing nature.

2) Mustard oil
Mustard oil is rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 fatty acid that may help decrease inflammation and relieve pain.

3) Turpentine oil
When used on the skin, turpentine oil causes warmth and stimulates blood circulation that help relieve pain in the tissue underneath. This oil binds with inflammatory cytokines e.g. interleukin-1 (IL-1) activate signalling through the IL-1 Type 1 receptor and initiates anti-inflammatory effect.

4) Wintergreen oil
The active ingredient in wintergreen oil, methyl salicylate, is closely related to aspirin and has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also known for its antispasmodic, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, analgesic, disinfectant, anticoagulant, and vasodilator actions.
